Pants kid

It started a while ago. Nahla got some fuzzy, minky like pants as a hand me down from a lady at church. They were a little too big so I put them with the rest of the two large clothes in Lila's closet. That's when I started finding them around the house everyday randomly. I kept putting them back assuming that nahla was getting them out to wear during her 100 costume changes a day. I'd seen Lila carry them around and assumed she was just picking up random things on the floor like normal.

Then I realized it was her. She was getting the pants out. She loves soft things. She will carry blankets with her, even ones much bigger then her around the house and in the car. So here was little Lila going into the closet everyday and getting those soft pants out to put over get shoulder and rest her head on. It didn't stop there. Soon she was digging in the laundry and other closets to feed her obsession with pants. Always pants. Soft pants. And so she became known as our pants kid. Yesterday when we were driving home late at night Lila was crying. Guess what Robbie said "oh kid do you want your pants" he reached down and picked up those soft to big for nahla pants off the floor of the car and gave them to her. She sat satisfied in her mound of blankets with the pants.

Sometimes blankets aren't enough. Sometimes a girls just gotta have some pants.

  1. Haha! What an odd obsession. Bryton likes his blankets and stuffed animals. I wonder if she'll still like those pants once she can fit in them! Probably not -- she'll probably be in a stage where she wants to take all her clothes off lol.
