So since sparky is our one and only now he comes with me a lot. We are trying to get him used to riding in a car so he runs a lot of errands with me. He's getting really good! He will jump in by himself and make his way to his seat, the passenger seat and wait patiently.
Yesterday sparky and I were coming back from the vet. Robbie wanted me to pick him up some culvers as always so I went through the drive through. I got up to order, rolled my window down and started searching for my wallet behind the drivers seat. Sparky is always curiously smelling out the window so he is going back and forth from my lap as I struggle to get out my wallet. Finally the lady starts reading off the specials through the box and in a split second sparky jumps over me right out the window! He starts walking on the sidewalk toward the road and I freak out.
I yell through the mic "my dog just jumped out the window hold on!" I start running after him, I'm sure it was hilarious to see on screen because once I got back into the car the girls in culvers were still laughing.
It was one the funniest things.
Later that night we went to nahlas dress rehearsal for her tap class. I decided to be a room mom so I wait backstage with all the girls and help them get ready. When we finally got all 9 3 year olds up to the stage nahla didn't want to go on. Her teacher got her pumped up and out she went when the song true to your heart started. She made her way to the front from the line of girls and did her own dance/solo the whole time. Blowing kisses, waving, twirling, stomping her little tap shows. It was priceless. Hopefully she will keep up the act for this weekend when the grandparents come.
Out the window! That must have been a sight to see. If there was anyone behind you in line I'm sure they didn't mind waiting due to the entertainment :) I hope nahla's routine went well! Loved the pictures in her ballet gear :)
ReplyDeleteI wish we could be there to see Nahla, that is what sucks about living across the country!
ReplyDeleteI feel for you on the dog escape. Kylie has managed to wiggle out of her harness on walks a few times and did this to me the other day when I took her out to pee before leaving for work. All of a sudden I look back and there she is staring at me with no leash around her. I take one step toward her and she prances across the street, clearly thinking this was a game! I come up on her and off she goes again. This went on a few times and finally I said screw it and started running after her down the block. Luckily someone had left their nasty sock in the road so she stopped to sniff it and I grabbed her. I had no bra on and didn't even have my cell phone, so I'm glad I wasn't having to run after her for long.
