Lately the idea of blogging as made me ill lol. Especially since it involves me texting it on my phone.
We had a fabulous time in Disney as I'm sure you guys saw. At the last minute plans changed and luckily I was able to pull it together still. Robbie had to leave 3 days early for work. Instead of shorting the vacation I stayed with the girls..by myself.. Yes you can close your mouth now I know it's shocking.
We ended up staying on Disney property purely for transportation purposes and I'm glad we did! We stayed at a value resort (pop century) everything was clean and fabulous. I do bed big checks at every hotel
I go to and so it involves me extensively surveying they area for a good 15 min so I see all the cracks and crevices.. This place was clean! It was a big resort..we didn't even see the whole thing.
The first day we arrived around 5pm we checked in and waited for them to deliver the food I ordered earlier through wegoshop.com this was a fabulous service. For 25 dollars we got whole foods groceries delivered to our door by our fabulous shopper who went above and beyond to get us deals. I will be using this again! So we ate some sandwiches for dinner and boarded the bus to downtown Disney which is basically a huge disney shopping complex.
We always let the girls pick a princess dress to wear to cinderellas royal table so we were on a mission to get the dresses and get out! We were tired. Nahla ended up choosing Pocahontas and Lila chose Ariel. We headed back to our hotel and jumped into our comfy beds :). On this trip Lila's obsession with Mickey Mouse began from watching disney jr before bed.
The next day we caught the bus to magic kingdom. We got there before they opened so we were able to see the rope
Drop! This was recommended to me by a fellow dance mom and it was worth it. All the characters come riding in on the train to welcome you! Of course everything was decked out for Halloween. Disney goes over the top! So our plan was for Robbie to run ahead and hold our place in line to see Ana and Elsa before breakfest since their lines are notoriously long. We even planned his route ahead of time with the map lol. So by time I got their with the kids it was a sham lol. He couldn't hold spots but in comparison we had a "short" 45 min wait..it got much longer until
It was completely sold out mid day. After meeting them we headed over to breakfast. This was a hard reservation to get..it has to be booked 180 days in advance right away to gets breakfast reservation but I did it! Best yet we got a table by the window this time! So fun to look out over Disney world. The food was just as gross but we go their for the fast princess meet and greets and the atmosphere so it worked out. The girls loved it! Lila was in awe of all the princesses. Afterwards we boarded the bus to animal kingdom to
Meet Pocahontas since nahla was wearing her dress. Pochantas let her wear her necklace and even signed her belt! At this point nahla had lost a shoe so she was barefoot just like her lol. We payed for the photo pass which worked out great for us, we didn't have to worry about paying for pictures! We spent the rest of the day exploring animal kingdom and magic kingdom. We had fast passes for rides so it worked out nice. We hardly waited for anything. There was a new "ride" enchanted tales with belle where you get to act out the story of how
Belle and the beast met. Nahla got to play chop and Lila screamed loud enough to play the dresser lol. Afterwards get get to meet belle. It's something you have to experience. The technology behind it was fabulous , even Robbie was amazed.
The next day we slept in, played in the pool and headed over to disney boardwalk. We took the boat for fun which Lila liked. They had awesome cheap pizza there and to die for desserts from Disney boardwalk bakery. It was Delish. The rest of the night we spent trying to find our bus to get home. In the process we ended up exploring a few resorts lol. Robbie was happy to finally find the bus.
Friday we slept in again and got ready for mickeys not so scary Halloween party! We arrived around 4pm and got in early ;). This was a fantastic idea because we got into the park for half price for 8 hours at least! I went as patch from 101 dalamatians, Lila tinker bell, nahla malifecent, and Robbie where's Waldo. Robbie regretted this idea I gave him because people all night said i found you! Haha. The villains took over for the night so we were able to meet a lot of bad guys. Someone gave us a free fast pass for any ride. This allowed Robbie and nahla to go on the seven dwarves mine train. This ride was impossible to get a fast pass for! Nahla loved it so much she talked about t all night. Between candy stops she asked to go on again. Finally during the fireworks when the line died down we got in line planning on doing ride swap so I could go on the ride too. To our surprise Lila was just tall enough lol. He height came at a disadvantage because she was terrified once on the ride. There where so many drops!
The next morning Robbie left for home. The girls and I spent the time recovering in the room watching disney jr. Then we went over to the boardwalk again because I was craving that pizza and desserts! We found our bus this time and spent some time at downtown disney before going back to our room.
Prior to the boardwalk I took them minature golfing with free passes at fantasia gardens. It was dealthy hot! The girls had fun though!
Sunday we ended up in Epcot. It was busy! They had the wine and food festival going on. I would equate it to summerfest. I wanted to cry all by my lonesome. We spent the day exploring the different countries. They had kidcot stations where the girls could color little pictures to get stamped this proved to be a disaster. They for covered in magic marker. I also got them little passport books where each person at the kidcot station wrote messages to them in their native language. Then they got to put stickers from the country on it. They enjoyed it :). We explored all the shops in their countries. Japan and Germany being my favorite. After a long hot day there nahla convinced me to go to magic hours at Hollywood studios. Exhausted we got there during the fireworks.. Nahla slept through them. Being completely lost there I ended up by what seemed to be a dance party. We went in and their was mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Sophia, jake, handy Mandy and tons of other Disney characters. It was so empty the kids got to dance with all the characters! Lila spent all night dancing with goofy. They got balloon flowers made. It was super awesome. We spent about 2 hours there. When they closed up it was pouring! By time we got back to the resort we were soaked!
Our last day we slept in, packed and headed over to downtown Disney. We took the boat to the other side and used our free passes to go to disney quest. This was a 7 story arcade. It was intense. A lot of things wee for older kids but there was one activity where the girls could make their own toy story toys. Nahla convinced me
To buy the toy she made for 10 dollars..it was worth it! They threw in so many extra parts we were able to make 2 different toys that we could exchange like mr potato heads. It was raining again so we made our way to the other side looked in the Christmas shop, I bought something. ;) and we left.
Our flight home went well and I slept off exhuastion :)
That trip sounds simultaneously horrible and awesome. I don't think I'd be able to handle it, but it sounds like the kids had a lot of fun, and that would be fun to see.
ReplyDeleteHahah that's the perfect way to describe it. I will not be going again by myself!
