I'm in the middle of finalizing plans for a vacation planned in January. I'm one of those people who need to make sure I'm getting everything for as cheap as possible, getting all the freebies, aware of everything that's happening on specific days..it's sort of intense but I love it. Especially when it falls together flawlessly. Robbie says I am amazing at planning vacations, parties, family outings. I'm totally into finding every cheap thing in the local area and doing it! Recent examples include, waterfords hot air balloon fair, kids night at the zoo, and mukwonagos fairs. I can't even begin to tell you how many petting zoos and pony rides the girls have gone to for free..this is extra important to them. Especially Lila she loves ponys. Side note..we google ponys on my phone and look and pictures because she loves them so much. Anyways back to my vacation planning strategies.
Pinterest has been a major help in helping me find the best deals and things to do for Walt Disney world. I am a total fan of going to Disney when your kids are 3 or older. I'm sure the magic dies down once they are around 6 or 7 but these are the key years! It's so fun to watch them interact with the Disney characters because they think they are real! Everything is real to them there. It's fun to live through their excitement plus it is a relaxing vacation. Believe it or not when your kids are fully entertained they sleep like logs and give mom and dad time to actually talk to each other.
So this is a pivotal year for Lila. She will be close to 3 when we go and totally into it. She loves princesses!
We have gone at Christmas time and this year we are going during Halloween which should be exciting. Disney goes over the top decorating for every holiday it's intense.
So we have a 7 day trip planned. We are staying off location at a hotel with a fabulous pool and an essential kiddie pool. We have a full kitchen :). Which is great because I hate going long periods of time without homemade food..it kills. Robbie is 25 so we will have a car! Yeah!! Finally we can drive ourselves, a cost but total benefit for what we want to do. We plan on spending about 2 of our days lounging at the pool. We will have 2 jam packed days at Disney. I am an open till close girl. If I'm putting down the cash I'm zombie walking around that place till they kick me out! We will get in magic kingdom, animal kingdom and Epcot. We are hoping to make it to the other park but girls rule all when it comes to Disney. We have a breakfest planned at cinderellas royal table.
We did get food poisoning here last trip..from the dinner, but we are hoping for a better experience haha. The price is outrageous for the food served but it's nice for the girls to meet a big chunk of the princesses in one place..and dine in the castle. It avoids a lot of lines..so the night before we will be hitting up downtown Disney. It's a tradition that the girls get to choose a princess dress to wear to the breakfest. These dresses work their way into
Disintegration once they get to out house from continuous use. This will be Lila's first year choosing a dres ;)
So in order to save money on tickets I bought us entry to mickeys not so scary Halloween party. It's got great reviews and easily replaces a day at Disney we were going to do for half price :) saving over 75 bucks :). They have trick or treating, a special parade and fireworks. Supposively they kick all the other guests out so you can walk on rides..let's not forget the villans. Nahla is malifecent girl..I'm sure one of the girls will be wearing that costume this year.
I'd like to visit Disney boardwalk which looks fun and we making an hours drive to the coast to visit a zoo for free ;) thanks to our zoo pass and play at the ocean!
This should be a fun trip! Yeah for saving money and yeah for Disney !
Wow baby! Looks like a busy vacation packed with fun! From what I hear, the magic never stops with some girls. I have friends without children who still bug their husband's to take them every year lol. I think your cousin Kelley might be going to the Disney Land Halloween this year. As much fun as it sounds, I have to admit, I'm a Knott's berry farm girl. Even when I was younger, I was always excited to hit Knott's berry and dragged my does at Disney. It's weird cause I LOVE Disney movies lol have fun!!! I love your little traditions :) it's so exciting that Lila gets to enjoy it this year.
