So a few weeks ago robbie comes home with a cracked screen. We have the best buy protection plan so i tell him we will take it in and get it fixed..no need for a new phone.
He asks me this week if i'll go to best buy with him. I agree. We get in and nahla lasts about 5 min, so i start chasing her around the store. about 10 min in robbie comes up and tells me hes upgrading to the 4g phone for $80. At this point i knew i had lost. We were in the store, the employee was waiting, nahla hadn't gotten a nap and i was hungry. I had been tricked.
I don't like best buy. I like to browse shop. You cant do that there. You go there with a purpose of buying something..like robbie was doing with the phone. You don't just leave with a tv. So this gives me nothing to look at. On top of that i'm chasing around and trying to keep a one year old from wanting to touch every expensive thing.
There are few worse places. Home Depot is one. You never tell anyone you are shopping with you plan on going there or they would never come. Then you spring it on them in the car and they consider their survival chances if they bail out the car door. Finally they spend the next couple hours leaning (because they have no chairs) against those big huge unattractive shelves. At least this has been my experience.
So nahla and i spent our time looking at "pongebob" movies...(whom she loves) "Marrrioo", nahla puts fist in the air and says "bye bye". (i don't know why she says bye bye instead of lets go. i think she thinks it means the same thing) Dancing to eminem until she found out we could put pumped up kicks on repeat. Which we had to do for the last 30min to avoid a meltdown. (i dont know why she loves that song so much)
All while robbie got the new phone i insisted he couldn't buy. He may have won the battle...but i always win the war.

I love going to home depot!
