lds..christian...mormon whatever

So i went on facebook today and everyone was saying i am a christian and a mormon. i know for a long time people have said mormons are not christian. however i was wondering why so many people are commenting today. So i looked up rick perry. I am always surprised when people speak of things they don't know. Especially to large crowds of people as it can only backlash at them and make them look like an idiot. Although it has happened countless times through history..and it is always funny to me. I can't say im exactly offended at his comment of my religion being a cult. People will believe what they will believe and i don't really care to much.

My annoyance and humor came from comments posted on the article of people trying to define what is Christianity. I will forever be confused of what makes The church of JESUS CHRIST of latter day saints (mormon) not followers of jesus. People who seem to be confused by who mormons follow need to look no further then the name of the church. People are forever set in their beliefs. You could tell them anything. Jesus Christ himself could come down and say mormons are christian and you would still find people who didn't believe it.

So, what is the point in fighting about it. Why do we care so much about arguing with what other people believe? Why can't we just be happy they have a belief in anything? Even if it is not our belief. Why do we care what the definition of christian is? If we continue to fight about it long enough will one of us finally be proven right?

I can say for myself personally, i am a mormon..who believes in the Jesus Christ that exists in the King James bible. I can confidently say he is the same Jesus that is talked about in the book of mormon, by prophets and at church. I believe i will be saved by this same Jesus. I think that makes me christian.

I don't really care who else wants to call themselves christian. If you're christian good for you, if not good for you too. I'm not about to start to define your beliefs for you. But if you're interested..look up your religion (whatever it may be) and i'm sure you'll find someone of a different faith define what you believe for you, why you are wrong, and they will support it with whatever facts they can make up at the moment. you'll get a good laugh, and your religion will be stronger for it.
