As all of you know im coming off my celexa (anti depressant) since im pregnant. I'm already starting to see effects, which is great for you guys, because my blogs will get much more interesting. The less tolerance i have for things the better my blog is, less celexa less tolerance.
Horray!
I know this annoys every single person on the planet so it makes me wonder why people still do this!
I've had it happen to me over the past couple days because i've been out more then usual. This week i went to a baby shower and a reception.
Seinfeld even does an episode on this behavior...They call it the close talker.
Luckly none of my friends do this, but thats what makes it even worse. Talking with acquaintances and strangers is when you come across it. You will be sitting there enjoying a converstation with someone when all of a sudden a random person will get about 2 inches from your face and start talking.
First of all my eyes can not focus that close and you are forcing me to make eye contact with you. It makes me dizzy.
Second if you puckered your lips you could kiss me, lets remember we are strangers.
Third i should not be able to smell what you just ate.
Fourth..this doesnt always happen, but its way worse when it does. They corner you. You can't back away because you are against the wall and its hard to go forward and around without bumping faces with them. ITS THE WORST!
One time i was at a party enjoying my food when a close talker came up to me. I almost vomited from the smell of their breath, it was hard to eat, and even harder to get away.
Why put me in a situation like that? Back up about a foot and we can have a conversation. I can eat my food and you can talk to me, everyone is happy.
Even close talkers don't like close talkers so how does the cycle continue?!
haha! well, i'm glad that you're coming off the anti-depressants. at least i get good entertainment off of it ;)
