A lot of people have asked me why i never went to college, or why i am not currently attending.
I think a college education is great. It gives you better pay, hopefully your dream career, and a higher education. I'm also sure you get great experiences from it.
While i have thought a lot about going back to school, (i've even signed up once), i've never gone through with it. I've come to the conclusion that school is always going to be there, mothering a child isn't.
I never thought i would say being a homemaker was my dream job. (Really, my career choices as a kid were ballerina, movie star, singer, teacher, and lifeguard.) The thing is, it really is, against all odds.
Sure, I'd love to be a kindergarten teacher, but i can always do that. My first grade teacher was 60 and i loved her.
I think being a mother is one of the greatest things a person can do. I loved having a mom to come home to every single day. For some reason our society has made it seem to be less than it is. I can honestly say, i have never worked so hard in my life. I have never had greater joys or sorrows. I have never been more selfless or humbled. I give props to all moms (career, and homemaking) out there, they have endurance, strength, and infinite possibilities.
What i have going for me is working out pretty well, so far no college education needed. I've got my whole life to live, we'll see where it takes me.
