Prince of Persia

1 out of 5 stars. This movie was way to long, the action scenes blew chunks and the story line was to complicated. There was a lot of times during this movie that i wondered...what was the purpose of the last 20 min i saw in relation to the story...there is none. No purpose, time filler, which really was not necessary it filled up quite enough time. I recognized the lead girl from another movie i saw, clash of the titans..also bad..so i knew it was off to a bad start. However she proved to be a much better actress in this role so i wasn't disappointed there.
The whole movie centered around a dagger that could control time...and the sand that was given to them by the gods which was kept in an hourglass underneath the holy city. If the hourglass was shattered the entire planet would die..or time could be changed. So of course our hero the prince of Persia spends the entire movie falling in love with the girl (who needs to protect the dagger) while pretending hes not. When they finally catch the bad guy in the chamber that holds the hourglass they confess their love to each other just as she plummets to her death and the evil uncle sticks the dagger in the hourglass. For some reason the world didn't end. I don't know why it didnt and i doubt the writer did either because it wasnt mentioned in the movie. Instead time got rewind-ed to the beginning of the movie, who knew?!

The idea that i might have to watch parts of the movie in repeat (and not by choice) was tragic enough. The fact that i now had no idea when the movie was going to be over was much worse. So the evil uncle gets exposed and the guy gets his love the girl and she knows nothing of them gallivanting all over the desert. When the movie ended i asked robbie..so what was the point of this movie..nothing happened..everything was erased.

I wish i had the dagger from the sands of time, i would take back the precious time wasted on this movie.
