I give this movie 3 out of 5. I've seen it before a long time ago when it first came out. It was actually on tv last night, and I've been wanting to watch it this month.
I have a love/hate relationship with tim burton films. I for instance like the movie the corpse bride. I'm not sure why, its kind of a dreary movie like any movie he makes, but i still like it. Edward sissorhands on the other hand i dont like as much, its just too weird. The neighborhood in edward sissorhands is what creeps me out the most. I would never want to live in a place like that.
Either way Sleepy hollow was enough to keep me entertained. It obviously doesn't stay true to the legend otherwise the movie would only be 15 minutes long, but they did a good job expanding it. Oh and by the way, i love johnny depp. I know i know hes old enough to be my father, still hes just gorgeous. They did a perfect job with picking settings, lighting, and costumes. I suppose that's why i like tim burton movies. He doesn't skimp out on anything, everything fits. I wouldn't say it was a very scary movie, which is good because i hate horror movies, but it did get suspenseful.
The ending was good, all the ends were tied up well. I'm sorry this is all very vague, i don't want to spoil any of the movie. I do have one question however, who is the man that plays the headless horseman? He is in tons of movies, i recognize him, and he always plays the bad guy. He's a very good actor...let me know.
