a pet peeve of mine i just discovered in the facebook era-
Status updating about what a great time you are having, how drunk you are getting, etc.
reasoning its annoying?
1. why is bragging about being drunk so cool? i don't get it. Almost everyone does it, you are not part of the minority.
2. If you are having such a great time why are you not out living your life? I think the addition of facebook on phones was the worst idea ever. You'd think if the time you were having was so AWESOME you wouldn't be taking time away from it to write on facebook. If it is the best time of your life why are you checking what other people are doing at the same time? What happened to living in the moment?
My only conclusion on these two things are the following. You are telling everyone how drunk you are in case you go missing. We may have a bar, street, or time of disappearance.
You are so drunk that you feel if you don't post you were having an awesome time you won't remember tomorrow.
On a sidenote- I hate drunk pictures, especially when they have the caption so embarrassing. First of all you may have been drunk when you took the picture, but you weren't when you put it up for your 500 friends to see. If you didn't want them to see you puking over the toilet why did you put it up?
I don't drink so i guess i don't get it.
First -- I think the people who got really annoyed with other people always posting their status created twitter: specially made for status-addicts.
ReplyDeleteSecond -- I think those people have to 'prove' to other people that they are cool and drink. Maybe that way they will eventually get invited to a real party.
Third -- It's all stupid. I have thought though that people post those pictures to tag their friends in it to make their friends look stupid. Great friends. lol
