Woah i am blogging a lot lately, i guess i have a lot to say.

Nahla has been learning a lot of words..not saying them, understanding them. She still just babbles about whatever. She knows her name, she knows come, she knows bubbie, bye-bye, and you. Most recently she has learned a word that i think she'll be hearing quite often, No.

I originally wanted to be the parent that never used the word no. (High hopes i know) I think its negative, and the child doesn't know any better so why not give them something else to do. Well this worked for a while. I would take whatever she was doing and replace it with her toy. I would say, not a baby toy, this is nahlas toy.

That doesn't really work anymore, she likes mommy toys. She also knows where to find them...i have a few examples.

I unload the dishwasher a lot it seems like. I guess we use a lot of dishes. Either way Nahla hears the dishwasher being opened and crawls over as fast as possible. She starts reaching for steak knives, forks, any sort of kitchen utensil weapon. I have learned to tread lightly and work fast, at like Olympic speeds. but i still catch myself saying no nahla no, no.

She likes toilets which you already know, she also like digging in garbage cans and eating soap. All things i dont understand. Either way, there is nothing more to say then no.

She likes ripping up folded laundry. She sees me folding it. She will grab it, rip it up, throw it on the ground and laugh. She really does laugh. How rude right?

So when i started saying no, she listened. She would sit down and be good. Now though she's learned to wait...until i leave for just a minute or look away. No doesn't count if mommy doesn't see you i guess.

She likes to test me too. She'll look at me and start to do something she knows shes not supposed to and smile. I'll say no, she smiles and does it anyways.

She is quite the funny girl.
