Most of the time i wonder what my ancestors were thinking when they chose wisconsin.
Did they just get to tired of walking, dropped their crap and said well this is it?
Not only are the winters beyond freezing and last from october to april--thats 6 months out of the year--6. Half the year i am putting on my down coat and shoveling my car out of a snowball. Then it gets that lovely raining freezing weather for about 2 months (perfect for mosquito breeding)Finally for 3 months i get to battle the nastiest humidity that takes a toll on my hair and my facial acne. Not to mention the swarms of bugs that hover over you. Don't even bother laying outside to tan unless you want to become an ant hill or mosquito lunch.
Why would you ever pick this swamp of a place to live? Did my ancestors know the pain they were going to cause their future generations? I've heard that people migrated to places that reminded them of home. My ancestors are german and possibly russian though it can't be traced very easily because of prussia. Obviously this is evidence enough, but why if you had the chance of moving would you want to move to a similar dump?
Why couldn't they change the course of their ship a little south? Lets bypass Florida and hit for somewhere better. HI. I don't care if it was invested with cannibals at the time they should have been concerned with their posterity.
I could be sitting on a beach sipping a pina colada. Instead im sitting in sweatpants with a cold..from the cold.
