love is my religion

Religions i think have always gotten a bad rap. They can do mass amounts of good, but one slip up and they are known only for that. (Muslim= american hating terrorist, mormon=polygamy, catholic= boy loving priests, baptist= war funeral protesting, gay haters)

The thing is i don't think any of this is true. I'm going to be one of those people that say, i knew a muslim (like its something exciting) and to tell you the truth i wasn't surprised by the fact that she didn't want to blow up the school. She also wasn't hiding bombs in her house. She had no intentions of becoming a suicide bomber and she didn't attend i hate america meetings. But the thing is that didn't really matter. Sure everyone that knew her didn't think those things, but society has made us believe that the muslim religion is violent. I can tell you it is totally not true.

So polygamy was practiced in the 1800s. That is a long time ago. I'm sorry but no one living on the planet is old enough to have been around when it was practiced. Why is it still assumed that mormons have multiple wives? There are some people at work that i think believe robbie will take another wife someday. Let me tell you, if he ever tries he will lose his first wife. Plus i don't think he could handle another one. Why do people believe this?

Okay some catholic priests do coke and little boys. Yeah it really is terrible, but why is it assumed that every catholic priest does now? I'm sorry but if you are going to make your priest celibate what do you think is going to happen. People like sex. Sorry, its true.

I really dislike the westboro baptist church. I'm pretty sure they are crazy and should be put in jail or something. If you hate america so much and think we are "doomed" why do you live here? Do i believe all baptists are crazy pyschos, no.

I don't like the idea of one "true" or "right" religion.. All religions i have come across are based on the same idea. Love. Why do we discriminate and have hatred for people that are so similar to us? I don't believe in the idea that god loves only one group of people from "his church" I think if you have faith in your religion, you love, and you improve yourself god wants you around.
