Breaking Bad

This is not a movie, its a show. I'm not even sure if it plays on tv, if it does it might be on HBO? This show was recommended to us by Grant, a close friend. He said it was "The best show hes ever seen" Hes right.

We have watched the first and second season. We will be seeing the 3rd as soon as grant is finished with it.

The story centers around Walter a high school chemistry teacher who has just been diagnosed with lung cancer. He has been given 2 months to live. He is extremely smart and has a pregnant wife and a son with cerebral palsy. Walter has no savings for his family and needs to make money fast to leave behind for his family. He decides to keep the cancer a secret. To make quick money Walter teams up with a past student, jesse, who is a druggie. They begin making the purest meth around (since walter is a chemistry teacher). Walter cooks jesse sells. The show moves forward from there bringing in drug lords, dealers, addicts, murders etc.

Every character that is involved in the show is perfectly portrayed. I have a personal hatred for the wife. The funny thing about it though is not one character is "the good guy" There is things that you like and hate about all of the characters which makes it really realistic to me.

One of my favorite things about the show is they are real about everything. I've had to watch a lot of drug related movies since ive met robbie. I have an impeccable knowledge of drugs because of this. Truth be told it will not serve me any good in this life although my health teacher would be proud. Haha. Anyways, most of the movies portray the drug world in semi good lighting. They show all of the money received and the girls and the cars. They act like it would be a great career choice which is ridiculous. This show doesnt do that. It shows the addicts, the trash, cheating of money, the murder, everything. Its sad, but interesting and you connect with the characters.

I recommend watching it.
