Sex in the City

So I decided to start a blog. I'm a new mommy with a night owl for a daughter so i've become EXTREMELY accustomed to staying up way way to late and watching way way to many movies. My choices are all over the place ALWAYS. I figured what else would i blog about? my daughters dirty diapers?

My First Movie to rate--Sex in the City # 1

Anyone who watches as much tv as me while trying to stay awake with a baby is bound to get addicted to something...for me its Sex in the City, for now.

I'm not a fan of "chick flicks" the predictability bores me usually, but i just love Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda. So i watched...and so did my husband, surprisingly.

My first thought, this is a LONG movie. It seemed like a lot could have been cut out to simplify. All of the girl talk, parties, and more girl talk. So much of that pointless conversation could have been cut, but then again what is sex in the city without the girl talk? It simply would not exist. Also at that point who wants to skip out on the scene of charlotte pooping her pants in mexico? May be im childish but i laughed. The movie is everything you expect it to be predictable, cliche, and girly. But that IS the show. In fact the movie went exactly in the direction i expected it to go, it dragged in some places, but overall it kept my attention. The actresses did wonderful as always, the clothes were gorgeous as always, and there was boy trouble as always. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. Worth seeing once ONLY if you're a fan that is. Otherwise there is no point in jumping on a train you long missed. You will definitely be lost.
